2014 Forester 2.5i CVT - Connection issues

Post by mirage1 »

Hello, first off, I really appreciate all the hard work you have put into this! Looking forward to being able to tune from Linux.

10 years ago I used a Windows laptop and ECUFlash to read the ROM from my ECU. There were no definitions available at the time, so it didn't progress further.

I've tried multiple protocols and multiple scenarios of turning off the ignition, testing different protocols, and so far not able to read from the OBD2 port.

What info or tests can I supply to assist getting this working?

Linux Mint Kernel: 5.15.0-143-generic x86_64 bits

Some clarification. I should have proof read my message.
  • I previously read the ECU ROM using ECU Flash and the ROM definition was recently posted.
  • I am trying to re-read the ECU ROM using Fast ECU as a test and it has not worked yet.
  • I tested with and without the SD card inserted for Tactrix OP logging, as some mentioned connectivity issues with SD card inserted.
